this race was actually really awesome for me because normally my first mile is way faster than my other two but today my splits were 6:42 6:36 6:36! i fought hard the second and third mile and just caught girls one surge at a time. things got tough mentally on the last 800m but i did my best to stay positive! did this one by myself and it turned out really well :) it was 3x500m @5k 400m jog 400m @5k 300m jog 300m @5k 200m jog 200m @5k 100m jog 100m @5k 100m jog 100m @5k with 5min rest between sets. my goal 5k pace for this season is 6:16 so my 500m goal was 1:57, 400m goal was 1:34, 300m goal was 1:10, 200m goal was 47sec, and 100m goal was 23sec. my splits were 1:47 1:29 1:11* 44 22 22 1:47 1:28 1:05&nbsp;47 21 21 1:45 1:25 1:06*&nbsp;44 21 22* and i was way happy with how it went! i couldn&#39;t be happier with how things went today :) i was calm and confident and positive before and during the race. my mental game was awesome, i pushed all negative thoughts out of my head and just focused on moving forward. i can honestly say that i fought my hardest the entire race. it&#39;s also a pr from this course last year so that&#39;s exciting!
