prefootlocker this morning was actually kinda great! i was expecting it to be freezing like usual and to do super awful, but it wasn't very cold at all! win number one. win number two is i had rachel in front of me the whole time to push me to getting my fastest average pace this season! hopefully things will just keep getting better from here on out and i will be able to finally break my times from last year!!

wu to falcon gorge and did 9x90sec uphill at race pace in 3 different sets. first and third set on the usual hill and second set on the harder hill. good workout, i felt like i pushed myself and the pace was where i wanted it for the most part! ran back to the school for abs and hips and push-ups

mile wu then cross country ladder at goal 5k pace! 200m (goal was 47) with 1min rest 400m (94) with 2min rest 800m (3:08) with 4min rest 1600m (6:16) with 5min rest 800m 400m 200m with the same rest as before. started out too slow for the first 200m and 400m but it was great after that! my splits were 49 96 3:08 6:07 3:01 81 33 :) did abs and hips and push-ups after

ahhh nxr race dayyy!! just tried to keep mario and rachel in my sights the whole time and did my best to stay positive and it was just wonderful :) i'm super happy because i got my 5k split when i hit 3.1 and it was 19:53 which is a pr! so happy to have this race and end on a good note :) shoutout to all of my wonderful teammates and dallin because everyone did amazing!!

turkey workout day! it was 8x400m at goal 5k and then whoever is the "turkey" for that rep gobbles and everyone sprints for 100m to try to beat the turkey! everyone who raced on saturday paced another group for the first 4 then we did it in our own training groups for the last 4. my 400m split goal is a 94 and my splits were 94 94 94 94 and i was pretty proud of my sprinting effort, so i guess you could say it was a success ;)

today we were supposed to either run a thanksgiving race or do 15x1min on/1min off pickups at 5k pace. i did a race, but due to some really painful cramps, it wasn't the kind of effort i wanted. after that i did 10x1min pickups at 6:10-15 average pace which i was happy with!
