abs and hips and then an early run with gan up in highland and it was such a good time, even if my legs hurt so bad haha. also, after today i get to go back to normal mileage every day so yay for that :)

not gonna lie, today was not a good day. workout was 10x90sec pickups with 90sec rest  at cruise interval pace (6:22-6:34 for me) and i felt great for the first six... then i died hard. i felt like i could not get my legs to move and i was getting very frustrated with myself. the last 4 killed my pace, and so my average pace was about 6:40-6:50 in the end. so mad because i was doing so well until that 7th pickup. abs and hips. also did a super pretty hike later! :)

happy 4th of july! did abs and hips and weights and 45min of "aqua jogging" which was actually just running laps around a tiny pool that was 3 feet deep lol (it was still hard, no worries). gotta take what you can get i guess!

had another really rough day today. i'm not sure if it's the elevation change in wyoming, bumping up mileage too quickly, or a lack of some kind of nutrient that's killing me. it was easy pace (with lots and lots of hills) and i started out really strong, hitting 7:10 the first two miles. and then i died, i would tell my legs to move and they wouldn't. hit 7:33 7:48 8:03 and last half mile was 7:57 ap. overall, my pace was 7:33 which is in my easy range, but there was a lot of stopping in the last 2-3 miles that shouldn't have happened. i am kind of frustrated with myself, but my body honestly couldn't take it. running has been a real bummer lately and i don't know what's wrong. anyways, sorry for the rant. did abs and hips.

steady state run (3.5 miles) and my pace range was 6:49-7:07 so nothing too crazy. first mile was 6:57 and i felt strong. second mile there were a ton of stoplights so we had to stop a lot, which was a bummer. came through at 7:06 and i still felt good. i was sort of worried i was going to die off since that's what happened in my other workouts this week. but, i told myself i was strong and i was able to keep going (no more stoplights!) and the third mile was 6:53. picked it up for the last little bit so the last half mile was 3:21! average pace for the steady state was 6:56! even if the second mile wasn't what it should have been, i'm happy with this workout and it was a good confidence booster that i've needed! did abs and hips. shoutout to rachel for going with me and killing it!

abs and hips and an early run with gan up in highland! didn't feel very good until after about mile five, then we sped up a bit and it felt good. finished up the last part hard and i felt strong. also shoutout to dallin because it's his birthday and he's the best best friend out there :)

wu to the cemetery then whistle hills. 3x15sec 20sec 25sec sprint with rest on the jog back. had some really bad cramps today that made it hard for me to stand up... other than that it was a solid workout! it's always fun to go fast haha. abs and hips and i'm so happy because we cancelled my surgery!! :)

mile wu to the junior high for mile repeats. we were supposed to run them at 'tempo interval' pace, which is 6:29-6:41 for me. we did 3 repeats with 5min rest between each. my splits were 6:33 6:38 6:36 and i felt strong :) i also stayed in there mentally which helped me stay close to the people ahead of me. i probably need to work on grass running though because i would slow down a lot whenever we turned haha. anywho, i was really happy with how this went! abs and hips after

wu to skyridge for the six minute test. came through the mile mark at 5:50 then made it like 32 more meters. so about 1632m total and that's better than last time! it was weird to go faster than 5k pace and my throat kinda burned but it was fun! i love the six minute test :) solid cd and abs and hips

mile wu and then 4mile steady state run! my steady state pace range is 6:49-7:07. i really liked the loop we did because there were some solid uphills but also some really nice downhills! i felt really strong the whole time and stayed super positive. it definitely helped to be running in a pack! my average pace ended up being 6:48 (or maybe 6:46-47, my watch was being kinda weird). i was way happy with how this went! :) huge shoutout to collin for pacing mario and i and to mario for pushing me and being amazing! abs and hips after

got to oregon today and it's so pretty! did some fun, easy hikes and my arms are sore from carrying my little brother :) finding somewhere to run has been a struggle though. tried to do the workout, let's just say running up and down a gravel hill doesn't work that well haha.

running still feels really hard here and my legs hurt a lot. did a slow mile then one mile of .1 fast/.1 slow because i still feel bad about yesterday. after that i was gonna finish to 2.5 but i had a bad feeling about being outside alone so i went inside and ran stairs. abs and hips and raced my brother on the beach later :)

mile wu then a grass mile! it's still hard to run here, but today went a little better than the last couple of days. did 10x17sec sprints up the gravel hill up to the driveway so that was good. one more mile on the gravel and a little on the grass. abs and hips

mile wu that was like 2min faster than the last few days so that was a win! did 10x17sec hill sprints followed by 4x22sec and then 1x28sec. this was pretty solid, but training alone is kinda tough. running is getting easier here, but now the problem is there isn't anywhere i can go that's safe so i just run in circles around the yard or up and down the driveway haha. the struggle is real but i'm just glad i can run :) abs and hips and also climbed lotsa stairs to a cool tower and threw airplanes off the top so that was cool! later played some super intense ultimate frisbee on the beach which was a blast!

easily the hardest, prettiest, and FUNNEST cross-train day in the history of ever! biked on the beach on some super sweet bikes that were killer to ride haha! did about 65min total, 45min like an endurance ride. sad because it's my last day at the beach, but it was a great day!

mile wu hurt to breathe because elevation i guess? i was pretty worried about doing the kicker but it turned out good! i felt like i ran pretty well until the top of the hill, i really need to work on having more of a kick! this definitely wasn't as bad as i was expecting after last week so that was a win! it feels so good to be back to running full mileage and be back with everyone again :) abs and hips
