race day, yay! warmed up a couple of times haha struggle and my legs felt pretty tired. i was super duper excited to race though!! first lap went out fastttt. like almost as fast as the first lap of my 800m last weekend. yikes! that was kinda tough mentally (and physically lol) but i just had to push it aside, use it as a head start, and keep fighting. wanted to stay with watson and have a better third lap and kick. the only thing i regret is not fighting a little harder during the last 30 or so meters to beat one more girl! but i was so happy to be able to break 5:30! this has been my goal since last year and it feels so good to be able to accomplish my goals!! shoutout to dalpal for going under 4:30 today and for taking me on an awesome pre-prom date :)
